Ella Joy meets the world!

We are so happy to introduce our little angel to our family and friends!  We created this blog to share pictures and stories with those that are too far to witness her in person.
 Yes, we could do it on Facebook but we feel this is a little more intimate and focused, rather than the chaos on a social networking newsfeed.  Anyways, back to Ella!

Miss Ella was born February 7th, 2013 at 6:20 AM.  She was 20.5 inches and 7 pounds 4 ounces.

Her name was derived from suggestions made by my (Andrew) sister, and her grandpa (John).  Katie had mentioned the name "Elle", and Jennine's dad suggested "Emma".  We frankly loved both, and found Ella to be a wonderful and original compromise!  Joy, her middle name was a favorite word of my mother's mother (grandma Keith), who had the word on ornaments and decorations all over the house.  It was also the one word Jennine had to describe her pregnancy..she was truly blessed with a peaceful, beautiful pregnancy with zero morning sickness and energy abound from month one to the day of delivery.
